The <blockquote> tag defines a long quotation.A browser inserts white space before and after a blockquote element. It also insert margins for the blockquote element.

The <blockquote> tag is supported in all major browsers.Note: None of the major browsers display the cite attribute correctly.
Differences Between HTML and XHTML
To validate a blockquote element as strict HTML, the element must contain only other block-level elements, like this:<blockquote>
